probably running WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY lean then. you have to jet for tempature dude!

I agree even running it with a higher premix in the cold temperatures might not be enough to keep it living.

I'd look into what the bike has for a jet now and what temps its supposed to run at with that in it.

Well running richer on the premix is NOT going to put more gas into the cylinder to compensate for the denser air....

you NEED to rejet to get the proper amount of gas into the cylinder to compensate.

There is no way you have a 46 MM carb..

here's the deal. at say 70-80 degree's (which most bikes are jetted for... the air is humid and isn't as dense as say 15 degree's...

so at 15 degree's the air is much more dense and thus you can achieve more power. but requires MORE fuel since your getting a lot more air at that temperature. adding oil to the gas is not increasing the gas flow, but yet it's quite opposite. your decreasing the amount of fuel in the cylinder and thus suffocating the motor since oil is not combustible like gas is. that's why you must rejet.

The snow was melting away so I decided to give winter riding a try. I couldn't get it to start so I gave it the old push it down the hill, pop it in 1st and hope it works.

I didn't make a special pre-mix or anything, I just took it easy. It's pretty fun. It was running really lean so I didn't ride much. Winter feels as if its already finished. Still got 15 days until our trip to Wyoming.

Every year I want to do some ice racin at the winter games by us but my dad wont let me... ha he thinks i will get hurt and screw up mx/sx. I think it would be fun to stud the 125 and race. That video looks pretty cool.

Okoboji? I always wanted to take the sleds up there. From what I hear they got hundreds of sick sleds flying around the lakes. I didn't know they raced bikes too, bet alot of people end up falling on there ass.
