im looking at buying a used 2004 cr 125 for 1700$ it was just rebuilt and has less than 2 tanks of gas run through it and has a gold series FMF pipe, shorty silencer, metal mulisha graphics, black ufo plastics, twin air filter, gripper seat, renthal gold chain, and a 52 tooth back sprocket. I was wondering what everyone opinions on them are. i want to know the goods, the bads, everything. how many gears would it have? anything i should look out for if i buy it?

Prices are different in different ares, around here that price is very low. Ive named everything to you on msn but ill do it again so you can review it and write it down. Do a VERY detailed visual inspection. Rust, wear anything that looks worn. Check the compression, the 125 should have about 145 - 150 PSI kick it over 3 times hard to get its full PSI. Ride it, listen to adnormal noises check all the gears, clutch, brake, throttle, the throttle should snap back fast when you twist it. Check all the barrings that includes tire barrings check and see if the tires move side to side, same with the swing arm. Check the chain and the sprockets. If the chain squeeks and moves side to side alot then its shot. Check the suspension, Normally when the suspension is shot it will just me riding on the spring so the rear end will spring up very fast when you sit on it. Thats all i can think of at the moment, if i think of anything else i will post it.\

no offence, but the yz has a better suspension, better frame (yeah heavier), better motor, better tranny, and (my personal opinion.) better colors

well depending on what it needs it could cost more then just buying a running bike, but then again it might just need a top end and would be an awsome buy, who knows.....

we'll see what happens if the person ever gets back to me.

im looking at a couple bikes right now, how is the 2000 cr 125? any problems? any info is greatley appreciated!

thanks Ty
