Okay racers.

What have you all done to your bikes so far this year?

Biggest change for me was going from a 2000 Steel frame to a 06 Aluminum framed bike.

so to compliment this is did the following.

IMS Pro Pegs - Give me a wider footprint for the boots, and better grab for muddy conditions
520 O-ring chain - have more strength then the standard chains, and better wear on the sprockets
Stock tank - bike came with a 3.1 gal tank on it.
Tag T-2 Clamps - Less flex then the stock clamps and fits the 1 1/8 oversized bars
ASV Levers - Breaking a lever when you crash just SUCKS, so got the unbreakable ones
Plastic - Gotta look good eh?
Race Tech suspension - gotta keep it stuck to the dirt to go places
proper motor squish - give some added get up and go for when i'm racing kawi

that's all for now

Mostly all I've done lately is cleaning. Got it all winterized and taking things apart and getting them cleaned up.

Plan for Winter...

Rebuild top end
Fork Seals
Handlebars and grips
Chain and Sprockets
New shifter seal
New # plates and graphics (199)
Paint Pipe?

Are those seal savers any good? Worth buying or just a waste?

I was just going to put mine to bed for the winter thinking life was grand and she'd be ready to go next spring. WRONG!
I pulled off the ignition cover to spray down the stator to keep the corrosion out, when I happen to grab the flywheel and noticed it had considerable up and down play in it.
So now that I get to install new crank bearings, I might just as well tear the whole damn bike apart and go through it all. oh well, It's still better than sitting on my ass watching T.V. when I'm not out riding the sled.

If you can't afford a new four stroke, you can't afford a used one either!

anything somewhat stiff and thin will work. a playing card, plastic from a wal-mart toy wrapper, your wifes credit card. And yes, those seal savers are a waste of money. I bought 1 on impulse at bobs cycle just because it was at the cashiers counter. it folded up on me within 5 cleanings and is now useless.
