Well i was doing the maintenance on my bike like my manual said i should do ad i bled my brakes. But when i put new fluid in and pumped the brakes up they stayed soft and aren't moving the calipers. When i pump the brake up and hold the lever down and loosen the air-bleed screw brake fluid comes out, but when i tighten the screw back up and release the lever i can hear t sucking air. Whats going on?

Do you have the master cylinder resevoir cover on but loose, or off completely? It should ne on but loose, helping with the pressure build up in the system. The resevoir must be feeled very frequently. Also, make sure your bleeder valve is nice and tight before you decompress your brake lever.

As far as i can tell everything is on there properly, and the bleed valve is tight.

Try to biuld up some pressure then while holding the pedal down/or holding the lever in loosen the bleeder, Tighten the bleeder back up with the lever still pulled in then let it loose. Do that a few times if that doesnt work. loosen the bleeder pull the lever/pedal down then tightin it (lever/pedal) still down after the bleeder is tight let it loose. Do that a few times and that SHOULD work... Unless you have already done both of these. Also What I like to do is take a gas tank hose and put that on the end of the bleeder and put it in a bucket so it doesnt make as much of a mess. Hope this helps

Then your not doin it right. Say its the front brake
Pull in lever
Loosen bleeder (brake fluid will come out bleeder)
Tighten bleeder back up
Let lever loose..
---Start over
pull in lever
loosen bleeder
tighten bleeder
let lever loose.
Keep doing that until the lever is firm.

Sorry if I am making this confusing... Not the best at explaining over this but hopefully u get the point? ha ha

Also it will help if you can get someone to help you with it, And make sure your brake fluid resevior is always 3/4 or so full so no air is coming in the top.
This way has never failed me so it SHOULD work if you do it properly.

Let me know if you get it

^ That is exactly the way i have been doing it. I must have managed to put a hole somewhere in my brake line.

could be a hole or the bleeder is not sealing anymore and should be replaced

Yea if thats what your doin and its not workin probley a hole somewhere. I never have got a hole in a brake line but maybe tighten the bleeder and squeeze the brake and the fluid should come out the hole? I think? ha maybe not...
