I'm going to clean the power valve on my bike this winter.
Looking at the way everything is set up, do I have to pull the motor out to get it out or can I pull it with out pulling the motor?

You can do it with the motor in, however i recommend pulling the motor. there are 3 (sections) of the powervalve system.
1 Guillotine that is the main part of the PV system
and
2 sliders that get pushed open as you reach max RPM opening the exhaust ports completely.
the whole system runs on a rod running the length of the PV cover. that has 2 clips (hex headed screws holding them in) and 4 springs, along with 2 arms that run the sliders.
maybe it's 3 springs, i dunno been a while since i've cleaned the PV on my bike

Thanks guys.
I'll look into it when I get home on the weekend and see if I can get it out with the motor still in, and if not I'll just pull it out.
What all do I need for gaskets? or are there any for this bike?
This is my first bike with a power valve so I don't know to much about it yet, other then how it basically works.

Just one on the cover, which if you careful you can just reuse.
