I guess I won't being doing much till around March but were planing on rebuilding the top end, new wheel bearings, possibly new tire, and maybe a new clutch.
I gotta question, my bike leaks tranny oil near the gear shifter, any idea what that would be? How to fix it?

My plans arent much. Grease all the bearings, change oil, filter, probley throw new tires on it. Get my clutch cover re-powder coated and possible a few other things. Most this would be done after fall but since my shoulder was broke I havent gotten around to it yet. I'm also thinking about maybe some engine mod or somthing... Considered a port and polish, high compression piston, boyessen quick shot in the carb, any other ideas? Im leaning most towards the port and polish right now, but I really dont know that much about it.
Suzi. Thats quite common. I had that on my last 250F Im pretty sure all it is is a seal that needs replaced.

Shift seal.
Drain the tranny oil, take off the shifter, pop out the seal with a small screwdriver, clean the area up, and push the new one in with a deep dish socket (that fits the seal best)

I get to install crank bearings in the 'ol why-zed-one-two-five. it will be a few months yet as other toys have consumed my interest now that I have ample snow.
I'm dreading splitting the cases simply for the fact that I'm not scared of doing it, It's just the fact of what I might find. My bike found a new neutral between 3rd and 4th gear last summer. Transmission parts are god awfully expensive. They are without a doubt the most expensive parts of a bike.
I plan on doing a tutorial with pictures when I do tear the POS apart. I love the bike and I can't give up on the bitch now.
The magnetic drain plug I put in says their is nothing wrong, but I know better.
If you can't afford a new four stroke, you can't afford a used one either!

Replace rear tire and clean power valve. Give it a good greasing and oiling of everything and let it sit for the rest of the winter.
Sell it in the spring and pick up a used 450 maybe.

I learned that leaving everything for sale all the time even when you don't want to sell it is a good thing. Everything I have is for sale for the right price and it always will be that way until I get something brand new.

I was looking around the internet and I couldn't find any for sale? Is it just something I will have to get from the dealer?

Dont need to do anything really, new rear tire for the 450 and wait for the snow to melt.
Ride it today, fix it tomorrow

Not yet. I'm still busy riding my sled. It won't be much longer because the **** is melting fast.

Re-assembling split cases would be nice haha. Lining up the shift drum and having all the Tranny gears in the right order and stuff.
EDIT:
Nevermind, just went to the tutorials and there already is one.

I have been doing a lot of cleaning. Taking the bike nearly down to the frame. Also scrubbed the crap out of my plastics and replaced and faded, ripped, or dirty decals.
Can't wait for summer.
