Doing mine too, got my crank 2 weeks ago. In the process of getting my cylinder fixed right now. How often (personally) do you rebuild your top end?

once a year (averaging 120-140 hrs a year) Wiseco pistons i usually run till they start losing compression. once that happens the rings are shot and need replacing. advantage of that is the forged piston wont break apart like the stock cast one will, so you wont disintegrate your cylinder and bottom end. you'll just lose compression.
if i don't do a lot of hard riding, i'll let it go every other year. just depends on the stress the bike has gone through.
My 2000 yz. Last year was the first year i had rebuilt it since 2000. stock piston. maintain it and they will go forever.

Hope ya don't mind MX, but I'm gonna highjack your thread.
Currently got Suzi Ku stripped down in the garage awaiting parts. Gonna be replacing the rings, as well as the clutch. Heres some pictures. Should hopefully be running by friday.
Also, How good is a EBC clutch?

I've never used EBC. I've had good luck with Barnett that what I always run in my Kawi's. We also run Hinson and MSR in some of our bikes.

I,ve had ZERO issues with EBC clutches. And I'm a clutch's worst nightmare. My title even says so.
Anybody ever actually wear out a clutch lever? I have. twice.
If you can't afford a new four stroke, you can't afford a used one either!

Surprisingly enough i use tusk clutch plates. Never had a problem with them, and seem to get the most use out of the plates with them... been 2 years on the last bike i had and plates are still within spec and show minimal wear.

Finished the engine tonight. Turns out, the clutch plates are fine... I guess the clutch isn't disengaging like it is supposed to?

Did u repaint your pipe mx?
Suzi. Whats it doing? pull your flywheel cover off and make sure the bottom of the cable is in that little lever. Make sure the lever is working good. Bad cable? just some thoughts.
