My buddy and i are working on his dirt bike. Last time we went riding and his bike made a pop and then he stopped but it in nutrel and then it died. And when you try to kick it to start it i sounds real bad!! So we thought it blew up so we took it all apart and the piston dose not look bad at all and the walls are scraped or anything from what we can see. When we took off the carb we seen that it was VERY dirty! We are trying to take the jug it self off but its not coming at all! We are leting it soak right now with liquid wrench over night. any idea to get the sucker off?

Get something soft, like a mallet and hit it very lightly out, or if the engine is still in the bike thats even better...Make it come out nice and straight to.

Because if it starts coming out on an angle it will jam or damage your cylinder.

Cover your crank with something like a rag so notihng falls down. Lub it up....and keep working at it.

Brass hammers also do the trick. I don't know if I would pry on in in case you damage something but I guess you could try it.

the cylinder should just come up, once you wiggle it off the pegs you can spin it slightly to help
