Today I was looking at a honda cr 85 and noticed alot of oil around where the pipe meets the motor, and a little bit on the motor. is this normal? Im thinking its just a little leaking from th pipe but I need to know if it could be serious because I might be picking up the bike tomorrow.

Thanks, Zach

I would say the bike is most likely running to rich which is causing the oil around the pipe. Maybe one of the springs is broke or something and the pipe is not tight against engine.

Just sounds like he is mixing rich on the oil.

Just seal up the gap between the engine and pipe with a little heat silicon. It's no big deal, my old 80 did it too.

If you plan on buying this bike make sure you check the compression.
