i took the reeds out checked for cracks and pulled the powervalve cover off and it seems to be ok. i also took the bowl off the carb it seemed to have gel in the bottom of it the bike will idle and rev fine until a load is put on it. i drained the old gas out and put a new plug in. any suggestions on what could be the problem?

Clean the sh*t out of your carb. Make sure you blow all the jets out.

What do you mean when a load is put on it? like when you sit on it?

like when you ride it and go from idle to wide open throttle. it dosent do it when you rev it in neutral

well not a very accurate answer but a bogging bike is always one thing that was mentioned already. Clean out ur carb, take everything out and spray them down with carb cleaner and compresssed air. Put it all back together...

Motocross bikes are the most simple engines, its so easy to find a problem.

1.) Check Compression
2.) Check your Carb and make sure all jets are correct and clean
3.) Check and make sure air box is clean and filter is clean
4.) Check electrical.

^^^I'm thinking one of the first three should solve the problem.
