I would like to get some more power out of my KX. It has a Boysen quickshot and a FMF slip on pipe but thats about it. I would rather not tear into the motor. So any ideas?

sell it and get a 250 2t or 450... The 250f's don't respond as well to pipes, you have to get a high compression piston and cam kit to see any significant hp gains, and with that runs the risk of having a grenade between your legs if you don't keep a eye on the motor

The best mod out there. Change your sprocekt! Could get a header pipe... Without tearing into the engine your goign to be pretty limited. The Kawi carburators are pretty good stock so really not much to do there, just make sure its jetted correctly. I didnt notice a whole lot of difference with/without quick shot on Kawi. Honda it made a difference tho.

Stock front, which I believe is a 13. The rear for indoor I run 50, for outdoor a 48/49. On my 07 I ran a 50 on all outdoor and a 52 indoor. The 09' has much more bottom end than my 07' did. I would recomend a 50 sprocket on the rear, that was perfect gearing on my 07'.

To the best of my knowledge, the Cams from Hot Cams do not require aftermarket valves or valve springs so that would be the easiest thing to do for some more power.

Yea you can use stock valves and springs. Easy to put in... I didn't notice a dramatic increase with mine. That would be the next step I would take if I was you though. Could just be that you need new piston and/or springs/valves to freshen the engine up a little.

a 250F is a 37 hp machine... unless you wanna big bore, it's all you're going to see...

250 is 45 hp stock form. with some mild porting and a pipe can see low 50's gotta love it LOL

You could take the screen outa the airbox and re-jet. I am in the process of doing that now.
