I dont have a compression tester at home, and havent got alot figured out with exams and everything going on right now, but i think its my carb. It seems like im getting a random mixture of gas and oil and everyone ive spoken to says its gotta be my carb. In this picture, it shows 3 of my plugs, the first one is the color its supposed to be, the second ones too lean, and the last one is too rich. None of them work.Error: Gallery file doesn't exist!

Can't see the picture very well. I think it's your carb too... Are you always getting them different fouling? Like sometimes rich sometimes lean? or whats the deal with that

If its leaning out like that I wouldn't ride it until you found the problem.

yea if its leanin out dont ride it or your gonna melt it down. When I had a crank seal go out on my 85 it didnt start fouling plugs like its doing to you, I was just riding it and it started losing power and quit. Im not sure if the seal could be your problem or not...

I'm thinking that if its in the carb it could be a bad needle and seat. Richens up when it starts to leak and then when it stops the bike starts running normal again. I can't tell from the picture exactly how lean that one plug is.

Well, I think you better just bring it in to the dealer.

Before you take it to a dealer why dont you take it apart and see if you can find anything. Check the compression, take the carb off and inspect your reeds, inspect your carburator and clean it. Also mx recomended checking your voltage, check that or have someone check it. If you do all these things which we have suggested and nothing works or changes then a dealer might not be a bad idea.

I checked the compression, 100psi. Is that around what it should be? Im going for a ride today I dont think its leaning out now. Im gonna keep a close eye on the plug and if it fouls me and my friend are taking out the reeds.

Usually you want your compression at about 120-150, so 100 is minimal. Did you warm up the engine before you checked the compression?

Yea I warmed it up. I might take out the reeds tomorrow because i fouled another plug lol. Can't bad reeds lower your compression too?

Im pretty sure reeds dont effect compression. I have never known them to anyway. I would still inspect your reeds. You can pour some premix in the spark plug hole and check your compression again, most likely it will be higher. The oil seals up aroudn the rings, may need new piston and rings. However that may not be the reason your fouling plugs. Check the reeds and compression again with what I said and we will go from there.

I took out the reeds and they were fine. No cracks, chips or anything. I also poured a little oil down the plug hole and the compression was almost the same. I dont think thats the problem though. Im almost sure its my carb, but honestly I dont have a clue what Im doing when it comes to carburetors. Im probably gonna have to take it to the dealer, who knows how long it will be there.

Tell them you need it in two weeks cause you have a big race or something coming up. Always works

Well hopefully I dont need any parts ordered in, it might just need to be adjusted. If thats the case then it shouldnt be there too long. I hope.

Maybe have them check the voltage like mx suggested. I think its most likely something with your carb too but might as rule out everything else first since your carb was just gone through.
