I put a bran new 49 tooth white brothers aluminum sprocket on my bike so i took a link out of the chain and adjusted it. The chain was perfect after i tightened the axel so i gave it a spin and the chain got very tight for no apparent reason
It happens every time i adjust it, anyone know whats going on here? The package the sprocket was in listed a varity of bikes you could use it on and mine was one of them.

Heres a picture of after i spun the tire, the chain doesnt even sit on the sprocket properly.

The sprocket is a white brothers 49 tooth groovlight and the serial number you see there is 75-11349MAG, whatever that means...

From me looking at the pictures it looks as if the chain is stretched out far enough that it won't sit on the sprocket properly.

By a new chain. When your sprocket gets bad you should buy a new front and back as well as a new chain. Otherwise the old chain will just tear up that brand new sprocket.

New chain. But also what was your old sprocket? If you moved the tire forward, you may have gone to far and the teeth from the sprocket could be hitting the metal part on your chain guide.

doesn't look like anythings rubbing, the chain is still about an inch from touching the guide.

Is the sprocket on the right way? Try to loosen your chain up a little by moving your tire forward.
