ok fist i am new to dirt bikes!ok so i have a bogging issue, it boggs like to the point of dieing when i get going. the harder i punch it the more it boggs (to lean?)the carb is nice and clean. i checked with the fmf site (since my bike has a full fmf) and set everything to their spec minus the main jet which is a 176 or something weird like that and i need a 170 could that be it? so what should i expect for compression?

Whats your plug look like? Sure that's just not fouled out? If it's not is is it black and oily or real light brown/white?
For your compression it should be over 160. I think with a new top end they are supposed to be 180psi? Make sure when you check the compression you warm it up then check it with the throttle wide open and give it at a minimum of 5 kicks. Also if you can use a tester that screws into the spark plug whole those ones that you just push on the top are not real accerate.

i know it's not the plug have had many in there. but by the plug it is running rich(black and wet) but i did a compression test just like you said with a screw in tester and got 125, 120 psi on my two tries. i guessing that means it needs a new top end??

120 or below it's topend time. especially if you lose 5+ PSI in a 5 min time

120 is pretty low. I'd be throwin a top end in it. And don't just do rings do it right and do the piston too.

Yes you should hone it. I would suggest taking a cylinder bore measurement and if its out of spec, than renikasil it. The piston wears down the cylinder walls over time. When that happens the piston will bounce from side to side in the cylinder which will cause a broken piston skirt and possibly a destroyed cylinder.
As far as the clutch slipping, I would start with your clutch cable. Your cable probably needs and adjustment or is adjusted to much. If that doesn't work, your probably gonna have to invest in some new clutch plates.

What's the clutch doin that you think its slippin?
I wouldn't doubt it if you need new clutch plates, I usually do my clutch once or twice a year, and Im ridin a 250F. Our 125 we put alot of clutches in so I'm sure you need plates. Anyway couple ways to check, put it on a stand in neutral and see if the rear tire spins pretty good. Try to take of in like 3rd or 4th gear, you shouldnt be able to. At a stop put it in 1st gear and apply the rear brake and try to take off, it should bog down and die.
Im sure if you take the clutch out and look at it you will find some very black looking plates ha ha.

when i pin it the rpms slowly climb and then hit a point they take off to top rpms and that power is def not going to the ground.

Yup sounds like clutch. Take your plates out and see what they look like. Not saying it's 100 percent your clutch but between that and top end most likely.
Take your clutch plates out and see what they look like, put new in. And I'd suggest hving the top end rebiult.
