Well look it over good. See how well it starts, cold and warm. If it starts real hard valves probley need adjustment but should be OK, condition wise. $2300 for a 06' is pretty reasonable.
Check fork seals, chain sprockets, like I said how well it starts, make sure it doesnt pop at all when you let off the throttle,
I had an 06 and it was a good bike for me. I love the way the Honda's hande. I had pro circuit top end in mine, carb work, and it was a good bike. Valves got bad after a while and that turned into a pain, but that was due to pro circuit parts not Honda's fault. My friend had the same bike and its been great for him, sold it to another one of our friends now. I think he got 3300 or 3200 out of it last summer.

Whats it mean when it does pop a lot when you let out of the throttle?

Well typically when it pops it just means its running quite lean. due to improper jetting or something similar. When I traded my 06' off it was popping like crazy and I had the same jetting. I never investigated it because it was time for me to get a new bike anyway. It did seem like there wasnt near the power as it had previous to that thuogh.

popping alot when you let off the gas is mostly do to a lean fuel mixture setting or a lean pilot jet

Do you think this is a little to low of a price for this? http://nh.craigslist.org/mcy/2303439871.html
I am thinking there might be something wrong with it? What do you think?

First you can tell appox how many hours are on the bike by how much paint is rubbed off the clutch and flywheel cover. Sometimes the frames will rub about black by the footpegs too. Obviously this isnt a bulletproof way to check but it gives you an idea. Some people will get new covers, or clean the frame but you can usually tell. On olderbikes w steel frames u can tell by how much paint is rubbed off the frame.
I wouldnt say that price is too low necessarily. Used bike prices can vary quite dramatically. 3 years ago I sold my Kx 125 to a kid for 1800, it was a 05'. He just sold the bike for $2,000. My brother is trying to sell his 07' Yz250F for $3,000, I saw an 05' advertised for $2700 the other day. My friend just bought a 04' CRF250 for $1900... My point is used bike prices are all over the place.
The pictures are not very good but I would say it has more than 25-30 hours. Its got what, 5 seasons on it. 5 hours a year? Doubtful. Ask questions - Check chain and sprockets, are they stock? If not does he have the stock ones? When was the last time he checked/adjusted the valves.
I personally think the bikes worth a look. Doesn't cost ya anything to go look at it then at least ya know what your looking at. Also as far as "time" on the bike it also depends who rode it and who cared for it. My bikes got alot of time, it also gets oil changed every 3 rides, air filter every ride, greased month, its got new top end parts... It depends how the bike was cared for as well.

Yeah, I am thinking I am going to go with the 07 and I will have a little extra cash, someone is trading me a 2002 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO with a plow, winch, and 2up seat plus 1250 for my sled tonight.
