don't know what's wrong - 97 cr 250 started by middiedefense

So started it up went to go ride and then it just kinda shut off. Haven't been able to get it started since.

I just bought it used so not sure about last rebuild or anything.

what do you mean by it just kind of shut off ? idle may need to be adjusted, but if you say you cant get it started again it would be more than just the idle.. my friend had a 97 cr 250 aswell and the simplest things like loading the bike into your truck and leaving the front wheel on the tailgate too long would flood it.. they are very finiky bikes. when you go to start it can you still kick it all the way over ? it shouldnt be seized or blown up if you can..

Very true. Definitely finicky at times. And the flooding thing mentioned above is why I always keep the gas off when not riding. haha Just gotta remember to always turn it on.

Glad to see you got the problem resolved. Sometimes the simplest fixes are the hardest to find.

The first 2 things i check on a motor that wont run are if it has spark and if it is getting fuel. i think its a good rule to follow because thats were most of peoples problems lie.
