Ive been looking around for a new bike lately and I stumbled across this.http://www.nlclassifieds.com/classifieds...nda/655306 1800 is a really good price for this where I live, but I'm wondering first of all if a valve job is only $100 and if running a bike with bad valves can cause more problems. I dont know much about 4 strokes but is it easy to get screwed over if I'm not careful? What should I look for?

Go for it, 250F is pretty much the next step for you. 04's have some valve issues

04 honda valves are junk. That thing sounds like a typical 04'. I'd save your money and fine one thats 05 or newer. Also you can tell it wasn't kept up just by the list of stuff that needs to be done to it.

If the valves need adjustment - 100$ probley cover it I dont know what your shop charges but prob hour job, depending how fast they move ha ha. But running it with the valves way out of adjustment (like where you have to push start it) usually doesnt help the matter and may need valves, springs, probley haven't been seating right at all.

Well thats good to know, I might look around a bit more but I havent even sold the 85 yet. If I do I would definately have enough money to fix up the 250 but I dont want to deal with constant problems, Ive had enough of that with my cr.

Ya it sure has a lot more torque. My 125 was kinda a worn down though. I have a bunch of friends who still ride 125's and every time they hop on my bike they fall in love over and over again. I wouldn't waste my time buying a 125 after experiencing a 250F. They cost twice as much but it is totally worth it.

yeah man I probably will. After seeing all you guys on 4 strokes though im thinking thats what my next bike will be. I like bottom end power and two strokes dont seem to have much of that haha.

ya they are good bikes forsure, and thats the same with me. i like how the power is always there when you need it. just a personal preference between 2 and 4 strokes though not saying one is better than the other.
