I love modern motocross.....but I'll always have a soft spot for the old bikes and stories from the '70's & '80's.

Anyone else around here old enough to remember twin shocks & drum brakes??

I've actually owned all 3 of those bikes.....my XR was a brand-new '79. First year as an 80cc, last year with the low pipe.

That XR was also the first bike that I ever ``cased`` a double on. Damn near broke my collarbone on that one. Didn`t actually break it until I was on an `83 KX250.

I am not a HUGE fan of vintage stuff. The oldest thing I got is a 1995 Suzuki RM80.

ive been think about resto-modding an older z50. set it up for street, headlight, blinkers, taillight, 12 bar, stunt pegs, hand brake, street tires. its would be a great thing to have.

i love old bikes also! i think they're great
