It's a sharp lookin bike. My buddy is gettin a brand new Kawi KX100. Looks like it is a pretty good deal since hes throwing in all that stuff with it.
What year is it?

Well if your not used to winning now... get used to it!!! ha ha. I really like my Kawi! I like the white, I'm actually planning on going with some white/green decals/plastic next year on my bike. Takes a while to get used to the turning but after you do its awesome! I think you'll like it! 06'?

thanks guys. its a 2007,i paid $3600.it was rode very little at least by the looks of the facings on the sides and from what the other owner said. speaking of being explosive, the closest dealer to me said last year they had 28 250's blow up but not one 450.haha so lets hope this one will last awile befor a rebuild.i plan on having the valves checked just to be safe.
kawi-rider-316. by any chance would you mind sharing or do you have any suggestions such as 1. which gearing you think is the best?
2.tire sizes? i know it sounds dumb but sometimes it makes a differnce.
3.seeing how you ride a kawi is there any tricks or helpfull hints you might have?
4. oil? i know some people think well as long as it has oil in it it doesnt matter but what kind of oil do you recommend?

I have tried every sprocket from 48-51 and I think 50 is the best. I actually run it on mx and sx style tracks and seems to be perfect. For tires I run 110/80/19 for the rear size and 80/100/21 for the front. I sometimes use a 100/90/19 for the rear and that actually seems to work a little better, but Dunlop never has that instock for my sponsorship ha ha. The dunlop tires seems to work really good though. For any tips I would say check the bolts on the clutch cover frequently, I was down at a race and 3 Kawi's blew up in one day from that. Mine have always been tight when I check them but having that happen to 3 bikes in one day I like to keep an eye on it ha ha. Also check the little plastic engine gaurd bolts on bottom front, mine comes loose alot. Also, the Kawichem i think its called air filter cleaner and oil work really good! I cleaned mine with gas the first time because you have to get all the other brands stuff out and now I use kawichem filter and oil and its awesome, the oil and cleaner work togather so its easy to clean. For oil I am currently running the Kawasaki 10W-40 but am going to start trying Klotz next time I change it, I heard thats really good for them so Im ganna try it out. I also like to set my sag and set it so it goes down about 3.5 inches, when you sit on it, We used to have it go down 4 but it seems to turn better when its at 3.5in. Also on my bike when u change the oil filter it seems kind of hard to get out, if you take a size 8 socket it fits perfect where the spring goes and u can pull and turn it and it will come right out! Hope some of that helps and I'll let you know any more stuff I think of or learn.

TeamCantAfford - I also remembered today make sure you check your antifreeze. We always do on all our bikes before we ride but about once a week my kawi will go a little low, not much just below the fins. Im not sure if it leaks a little (we cant find anything) or if it common for Kawi's 250F's. Just thought I'd let ya know.

I bought mine new rode it for 2 weeks or so and had them checked and they were fine. Now we check them about once a month and havent had to adjust them yet. I would do it right when U get it then do once a month or every other. If it gets hard to start get them checked, otherwise once a month or every other will be good.

it really depend on how you ride it, if your boucing off the rev limiter left and right you should check em every race.
i have 2 buds that ride kawi 250's, i have to adjusts one's after every race day cause for some reason he doesn't know what a shift lever is... the other if i touch it sooner then every 3 months it's a miracle
