So today i got my bike all back together and cleaned the carb got the bike running and it was running very rich. so i started off by adjusting the air screw to not help. so i learned you need to adjust the needle by moving a clip in the carb. Does anyone know how to take the throtle cable off and get to this clip?

like edmonster said, take the two screw's off the top and pull it off. Move the clip up 1 for a leaner mixture and put it back togather.

Ya I was ganna say that too is you might just need a leaner main jet. Thats what we ussually change before we mess with the needle.

Doesent the clip just helps zero to half throttle and the jets are above half so don't you want to change both. You dont want to lean it out though I leaned out a brand new motor just a little bit and the pos Wiseco kinda melted in less than two hours.

03 yz250 has a few bolt ons!!
