and no porting will not make it loose compression faster, just would take a little power from the bottom end and it will REALLY come alive in the mid range and top. mostly unless your bike is stricktly for racing you just port the intake port.

i have two sets of heads i run, one i can run pump fuel which i leave on for trail riding, the other is full race cut that requires 114 octane. buddy of mine and i buy a 55 gallon drum of 114 race fuel.

2000 yz250 puts out 44.7 hp in stock form. new 09 yz250 puts out 47 hp stock.

porting, exhaust, head shaved, VF3 reeds, wiseco piston, and a new crank and im right there hp wise of a modified 09 yz250.

really i doesn't seem to effect me much. i've been riding this bike for quite a while now so i know how the bike is going to react in almost any condition. i know how it turns and i have the suspension set up perfectly. so no really doesn't effect me at all.

Been a racer since age 8. this will probably be my last full season. after that probably just run races for fun and be a spolier
